“I give myself permission to want a slow creative life with days filled with pottering, wandering, scribbling, sketching, pondering.”
It is finally here: my reduced hours at my day job, and honestly, it is as if a massive boulder has been lifted from my back.
I'm celebrating with a slow morning rough sketching and dotting a concept that came to me yesterday - a spiral.
I was bold enough to ask for more spaciousness even with the financial crisis we have going on, even with the increasing prices, even with some people projecting their own financial fears on me.
I know I'm fortunate enough to do it. I know some may not have a choice. I know I'm taking a risk here but it is only because my belief in my magic has deepened. It has started to grow deep roots.
Gosh this really spoke to me. I think we all have things that we don't do because we feel that they're not an option for us, but the reality is that we've not given ourselves permission.
I love that you've been able to give yourself space to invite more in.
I'm glad this gave you what you needed at that moment. I love when words do that. :)
You are spot on. Often the can't and don't is based on a fear. Fear to ask for what our desires are whispering, what others might think, what we can't yet imagine for ourselves.
