Leo Full Moon: an invitation to shed old skin
The beginning of Lunar Invitations: daring to dream
Happy Leo Full Moon! May it illuminate the parts that need a bit of our gentle courage. May it dare us to dream bigger and bolder than we think we could or should.
If you've been with me for a while, you might remember Lunar Wanderings - letters and voice notes on lunar energies weaving together astrology, I'Ching, and journalling. This is, in a way, Lunar Wanderings 2.0. I stopped doing them and now I'm being called back to exploring these lunar invitations further.
With more personal lunar experience now under my belt, they've grown as have I. Having collected a lot of personal data over the last two years means I now have more awareness of it. This makes me think of my 3rd Line in Human Design - being my own guinea pig and figuring out what works and what’s useful and leaving the rest.
With that said, each phase is not like the one before because of the Astro weather and our own growth. It is more of a spiral. It may feel like we have been here before but things have changed, we have changed.
And so have Lunar Wanderings. They have slowly over time turned into Lunar Invitations because that's what working with New and Full Moon energies feels like to me.
They are invitations to reflect on what is, was, and could be, and what we want there to be.
I’ve been rummaging through old notes from 2020-2021 and the thread I see run through all of it is the Moon - I take this as an invitation to deepen my own practice and awareness around it and am calling in those that feel the same resonance.
Lunar Invitations are for you
who want to live and create intentionally.
who desire a simpler life by following your pace.
who want to build a solid foundation for who they were put on this earth to be, to get to know their own deep inner well and learn to courageously trust their inner knowing, and walk their own path that is free of someone else's expectations, validations, approvals.
who seek a nourishing community of others who are walking their own untrodden path. To commune with other courageous dreamers.
who want to live in alignment with the universe and claim their unique spot in it.
who are afraid to take up space, to be seen, to be witnessed but have this little nudge in them that desires to be seen and witnessed.
who feel lost and out of alignment and don't know how to find their way back to themselves.
who want to clarify their unique gifts and find their voice that's waiting to be heard.
(You will notice these Lunar Invitations have a paywall. I’ve chosen to put it behind a paywall because I want these letters to be more intimate and vulnerable and honest than I might feel comfortable sharing for free, for anyone’s eyes. This is my way of building up trust with you, dear reader, who truly resonates. I am sharing more about this journey passed the paywall. This is a real-time 3rd Line figuring-shit-out bit. With that said, if you are financially not able to subscribe, please reach out and I will gift you a subscription. If this is a resonant yes to you, I want you to be a part of this.)
My own lunar practice, like with everything in my life, started out very rigid, following each phase for what it was supposed to be according to some external authority instead of what I felt to be true.
But over the last half a year, that practice has become more gentle, softer around the edges, less concrete, less goal-oriented, less striving, and more attuning to my own desires and delights.
They’ve become invitations to reflect and rest and reset and less about ways to set goals and hustle towards a dream, towards a finish line. There is no finish line, I've learned. Living a creative life is a process, a journey that just keeps on going.
Therefore, I view New and Full Moons as pitstops, as checkpoints where the Moon invites us to reflect, realign, reset, and refocus, but also rest and celebrate. Yet again, I am reminded of this beautiful quote by Britten that I shared in my January letter.
"The Moon is here to help us listen to the intentions that want to live through our lives."
I envision these Lunar Invitations as ways of trying to find some sort of answers to the following questions:
What conversations do the astrology of these moon phases invite us into, both individual and collective?
What happens when we weave in Human Design and Gene Keys?
What's being highlighted here?
What's lurking in the shadows?
How can we tend to ourselves with love, compassion, and tenderness?
How can we take responsibility for our own actions or inactions without succumbing to judgment and shame?
How can we live our lives from that place of interconnectedness and embrace the support of our natal charts as well as the transiting planets?
How will this individual inner work reflect back into the collective?
I do hope they'll serve you in whatever way that's needed for you.
I hope they'll invite you into deep conversations with yourself and through that do the same with others.
I hope this community we are building here will invite you into deep conversations with yourself and other like-hearted souls who've found their way here.
May we witness each other as we walk this earthly path.
And now, a moment of vulnerability and full transparency on the fear of valuing my own gifts and offerings, a theme that's been illuminated for me personally under this Leo Full Moon:
