Moonthly Letter XV: Your thing is your frequency
Reflections on the digital platforms we use + February delight round-up
Hey cosmic wanderer,
I must admit, I had something entirely different planned for this moonth’s letter but then I got a sacral ping for something else, which, in a way actually sums up February perfectly. Divine Timing and all that.
And that something different is thoughts on the digital platforms we use and the intention behind them. This whole letter is inspired by a talk Katie Brockhurst gave during my breathwork facilitator seminar.
If you’re not familiar with her work, she has a Substack space called Social Media for a New Age.
Something she shared in our talk really reverberated through my whole body and made me want to reconfigure how I approach the digital platforms that I either choose to be on or want to be on. And honestly, all of it brought me back to my intention.
3 questions to guide our online presence
What is the intention for this platform?
How do I want this platform to serve me?
How do I want this platform to serve my mission here?
Katie was talking about the energetic signature of the platforms that we use. And that made me reflect on how my own energetic signature matches with a platform, and whether it matches at all. Or perhaps, as someone who tends to swing from one extreme to another, there are seasons for different platforms.
So how can we give ourselves full permission to embrace the season we are in?
The one thing I kept landing on was that I want the digital platforms that I do choose to be on, to be energetically aligned with where I am at. And right now Instagram is definitely not that place. TikTok most definitely is not that place. And the deeper I reflect, I am even finding Substack’s own Notes section a little too overwhelming for my nervous system. I am noticing my own unhealthy thought patterns emerge as I engage on them. And that is a clear sign that, either, I’ve not tended to my own needs, or the environment is activating for whatever lack that is present within my ego.
The digital platforms we choose to be on ought to support us and our well-being.
If a digital platform does not support my well-being, I choose to not engage on there. When I log onto something and I am immediately activated, there is no way I can show up in my true nature. And that means, energetically, I am not serving anyone.
The more I sit with all of this, the more I am realising that the digital platforms I do want to invest in are my own yet-to-be-built website, this Substack, and Pinterest. I see them all being part of this bigger ecosystem that will serve me and my well-being, but also my mission. And that is a process that I’ve started to share in my Undergrowth letters.
And one of the most important things for me currently is spaciousness.
Does that digital platform provide me with spaciousness to do what truly lights me up?
Does it provide me space to focus?
Does it help me be in a more regulated state?
And also, does it allow me to connect with like-hearted individuals?
If the answer is no, then the answer is no.
In the workshop with Katie, we were taken through a visualisation. And that is where this phrase emerged:
Your thing is your frequency.
As a Generator type in Human Design, we are here to be lit up by our own passions. So doing our thing is absolutely imperative.
If we’re not lit up, then our frequency is off. And that will most definitely show.
So getting clear on what delights us, what lights us up, what sets our soul on fire is the most important task we can give ourselves. And I don’t know about you but in order for me to connect with that fire, I need space. I need space to roam and meander. I need space to be and breathe. And I can’t do that if I am constantly on social media comparing myself or feeling like I am not enough, or giving into the urgency of visibility.
So, dear wanderer, what is lighting up your soul these days? I’d love to hear about it.
*Playing basketball has been such a fun addition to my life, weather-permitted. It is one of those things I didn’t know I needed. Doing something fun as a physical activity also seems to be taking the pressure off from needing to get a “workout” in. I can see many more basketball sessions in our future.
*My personal project on cultivating awareness through the Rave week contemplations that I’ve started sharing In Hindsight is another thing that is setting my soul on fire. I am also constantly being ripped open so having a sense of humour to meet my own ego has been imperative.
*Astrid’s Female Owned community has been such a beautiful find here on Substack. I love her monthly accountability club and her masterminds have been so informative.
*This hot take on Aquarius from Britten. She is actually talking to this idea of our unique frequency and meeting others who recognise that frequency as their own. The link will take you to IG.
*I’m slowly reconnecting with my own creativity and using the Secret Garden colouring book to practice my stippling skills. My aim is to create a shade to the front plumage of the owl by the dotting technique.
*I discovered morgxn recently and spent a good couple of hours binging on his whole catalogue. To be honest, I had a hard time picking just one song but I feel like this one definitely pulled on my heart strings. And, sometimes, it is simply hard to be human.
*And last but not least, I held my very first Dark Moon/New Moon breathwork circle at the beginning of February and loved every minute of it. Truly grateful for the magical beings that showed up and shared their hearts with each other. Thank you! Ready to do it all over again next week as we gather under the Dark Moon for the Piscean New Moon.
Your turn: what were some of the delights February brought to your life?
Sending you a deep and nourishing breath,
Silvia
P.S. Here are a couple of ways you can get direct access to me and my frequency in March and April.
The Pilgrim's Inn is a 2-hour one-on-one session that infuses Conscious Connected Breathwork with Cosmic Wisdom. This is currently my signature offering where I weave together Conscious Connected Breathwork with your Human Design, astrology, and Gene Keys to help you access your own body wisdom so that the answers within will reveal your untrodden path.
This is a space for witnessing your un-becoming and re-membering.
This is what Julia had to say about her Pilgrim’s Inn experience:
"It’s hard to find adequate words to explain the powerful transformation I experienced in just two sessions with Silvia. Her gentle, intuitive approach was warm and supportive throughout and there wasn’t a moment I didn’t feel safe, seen, heard, and held. The breathwork, new to me, went far beyond anything I’d imagined. I gained clarity on some painful issues I’d been carrying a long time, and I was able to release years and years of grief without resistance.
Human Design combined with breathwork — wow!!"
Thank you, Julia, for trusting yourself and for trusting me in journeying with you.
UPDATE: THIS MONTH’S SESSION HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Next Dark Moon gathering is happening on 8 March at 6 PM UK time. This circle is for my fellow magical weavers and cosmic wanderers, the gentle souls who rebel against the norm, and the dreamers who hold revolutionary visions for our world. My fellow healers and creatives who long for a space to be, breathe, and meander.
We’ll be gathering virtually for 2 hours and spend that time reflecting on collective energies through lived experience, breathing with whatever is present, and giving voice to what needs to be witnessed in the sacred circle of fellow magical beings.
If you’re a paid supporter, you’ll have open access to these gatherings. Your booking link is at the very bottom of this letter.
If you have no interest in becoming a paid supporter but do want to attend the gathering, here’s where you can book your spot. Alternatively, become a paid supporter and receive open access to the gatherings plus a few other perks.
