Recalibrating where I spend my energy in my business
And spending it mostly where it brings me joy and creative satisfaction
I’ve been returning to this phrase lately - a slow creative life. I’ve been pondering what it really means moving forward with building my breathwork+cosmic wisdom business. I’ve been pondering on the different pathways I would like to meander down whilst exploring visibility and, dare I say, marketing.
I’ve been off social media since end of December 2023 with no plan to return as of now. I am finding the more time I spend away from it, the healthier I feel. I mean, my overactive mind still keeps me busy but I am able to observe from a healthier place and, when need be, step in and recalibrate.
One of the things I’ve been pondering on in terms of social media is the ephemeral nature of our content. I am finding that this does not interest me. I don’t really feel like I want to be churning out IG posts and stories every day. I am leaning more and more towards evergreen content, stuff that I can pop up either on Substack, or, ideally, eventually my website, and it can take on a life of its own.
